5 Great Scenes Through A Television
5. Angels with Even Filthier Souls in Home Alone 2
A sequel to the faux movie Angels with Filthy Souls in Home Alone. This one is a little bit darker than the first because our favorite gangster, Johnny kills a woman. A little shocking for a PG family friendly movie. Nonetheless, it plays wonderfully as a prank on the hotel’s staff.
4. Eli Cash’s meltdown in The Royal Tenenbaums
Owen Wilson masterfully plays a drugged-out writer in this scene, as he has a meltdown on a parodied Charlie Rose Show.
3. Angels with Filthy Souls in Home Alone
A great scene spoofing an old gangster film and later used to pull a prank on Daniel Stern’s character. This gem gave us the lines, “Acey said 10 percent,” and “Keep the change you filthy animal.” While this YouTube video isn’t shown on a TV screen, it is played that way in the film.
2. Bill Murray’s United Fund Commercial in Kingpin
Bill Murray’s great, underrated performance in Kingpin delivers this great scene. Bill Murray’s subtleness and great dialogue in the scene payoffs in many ways.
1. Richie Tenenbaum’s meltdown in The Royal Tenenbaums
This scene provides a fantastic background for Luke Wilson’s character in Wes Anderson’s dark comedy. Wes Anderson and Andrew Wilson provide a great commentary for the scene as well. Everything in this scene is comedic genius from beginning to end.
